Our Beginnings
R.L. Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford began with the purchase of Stott and Cramer Furniture and Undertaking in 1928 by Ralph L. Lockstone.
Ralph owned and operated this business until 1958, when his son, R.L. “Stony” Lockstone, entered the business and took over ownership and operation of the funeral home.
The third generation of our family business, Marty Lockstone, joined in 1981 and took over management in 1988. Stony retired in 1991.
Adam Lockstone, a fourth-generation funeral director, joined the family business in 2008 as a fully licensed funeral director. Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas was purchased by Marty Lockstone in 1992. Marty’s grandfather had built and owned this funeral home up until 1967.
