Winfred Chillington Tipton was born November 5, 1930, in Lee County, Kentucky to Jesse and Beatrice Cox Walling and passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at Oklahoma City Veteran Center, at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 19 days.

Winfred was raised and attended school in Beattyville, Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. Winfred settled in Dayton, Ohio as a machinist for 5 years. Moved to California in 1954, where he worked at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works from 1966 to 1978. Winfred moved to Weatherford in 1978 where he worked at 3-M for 25 years. On December 9, 1981, he married Eva Hubert in Arapaho, Oklahoma. He retired from 3-M and sold Real Estate for Kurtz Realty from 1995 to 2013. Winfred enjoyed country music, playing the guitar, NASCAR, computers, Reading, craftsman work.

Winfred is survived by his wife of 37 years, Eva Tipton of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; three sons, Johnathan Tipton of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Allen Tipton of Corn, Oklahoma, and Donnie Vaughan and wife, Tara of Weatherford, Oklahoma; daughter, Crystal Tipton of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marcella.
