Obituary

William (Bill) Arthur Choate was born on April 16, 1949, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Bert Arthur Choate and Nora Jane (Elliot) Choate and passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home in Hydro.

Bill was born in Enid and spent his life proudly calling it home. He graduated from Enid High School in 1967 and began his career serving the community as a police officer with the Enid Police Department. He later worked for UPS and JC Penny before finding his passion in Pest Control and earning a diploma in Ministerial Studies with the Assemblies of God.

In 1987, he met the love of his life, Pammie Deann Barth, and the two married in 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they made their home in Enid.

In 1991, Bill and his wife, Pam started PestX in Enid, successfully building the business from the ground up. They soon moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma, where they continued to operate PestX from 1991 to 2025.

He enjoyed playing music, riding horses and golfing. He was a talented singer and guitarist who especially loved playing alongside his son. He also loved riding his Harley and attending music festivals with friends. He was a member of the Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club, where he found long lasting friendships.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steven Choate, two brothers: Bob Choate and Ron Dunlap, and sister, Faye Webb.

Bill is survived by his wife, Pam, of the home,  two sisters: Janice Hope and Sharon Halford, his children: Kevin Choate and wife, Jill, Lori Fisk and husband, Mike, William D.E. Choate and fiancé, Stella and her children Jesse, Phoenix, and Presley, and Rachel Adams and husband, Dusty, ten grandchildren: Madeline, Connor, Rane, Aubrey, Vivien, Kaitlyn, Kara, Hannah, Zachary, and Corey, and two great-granddaughters, Nettie and Nora.

He will be remembered for his kind heart and deep love he had for his family and friends.
