Wanda Louise Ridgeway Smith was born February 3, 1932 in Colony, Oklahoma to John and Mildred Ellen (Scott) Bowerman and passed into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 8:40 P.M. at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 10 days.

Wanda was raised and attended school in Eakly and Colony area. On December 9, 1949, she married the love of her life, Thurman Doyle Ridgeway after he returned from serving his country during World War II. To this union two sons were born. They moved to the family farm after Grandpa Scott passed away in 1952.

Wanda worked on the family farm helping Doyle milk the cows and change the irrigation pipe. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, Red Hat Society, and was a volunteer at Weatherford Regional Hospital. Wanda went to Beauty school in 1958 after the boys had started to school. In 1960, she put a beauty shop in Eakly which she owned and operated for over 40 years. She continued to work for a year and a half after Doyle passed away. The good Lord had a plan for her; Wanda married Robert Eugene "Bob" Smith on October 25, 1997 and made their home in Weatherford. They had nearly 19 years of wonderful life together before he passed in June 20, 2016. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eakly, where she was baptized, and in Weatherford. Wanda loved her Lord, her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, her flower garden, traveling, fishing, camping at the lake, and spending time with family and friends. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.

Wanda is survived by two sons, Dean Ridgeway and wife, Rhonda of Colony, Oklahoma and Jimmy Ridgeway and wife, Debbie of Eakly, Oklahoma; one brother, Verlin Bowerman of Garden Grove, California; five grandchildren, Deidra and Chris Flores of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Travis and Aprill Ridgeway of Carnegie, Oklahoma, Summer Horn of Lookeba, Oklahoma, Darci and Jerry Dunn of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Trevor and Erin Ridgeway of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Doyle Ridgeway and Bob Smith; and sister-in-law, Edna Bowerman.
