A Celebration of Life for Vonda Joyce Burton, 74 year-old Eakly, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 2:00 PM in the Eakly First Assembly of God Church. The service is under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Joyce (Bryant) Burton was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on March 21, 1942 to Ernest and Bessie (Vanover) Bryant. She passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Anthonys Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Joyce was raised in Whitley City, Kentucky. She graduated from Castle High School in 1985 at Paradise, Indiana. Joyce married Hebert Duane Burton in Alexandria, Virginia, on December 29, 1966. Joyce and Duane made their home in Portsmouth, Virginia. They raised their family in Newburgh, Indiana from 1971 to 1985. Being a military family they lived in numerous places. The family moved to Eakly in 2001.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and her special friends, Deanna Pfeffer and Pat DiMatteo. Joyce enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and going to Casinos.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Duane Burton of Eakly, Oklahoma; two sons, Lyndon Terry Bryant of Florida and Gary Burton of Iowa; three daughters, Joann Seyffreth of Delaware, Michell Cain and her husband, Edward of Oklahoma, and Dana Espey and her husband, Keith of Kentucky; one brother, Lenville Bryant of California; three sisters, Sue Nabors of Florida, Wanda Kerns, of Florida, and Teeny Duncan of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Bessie Bryant; one sister, Sonny; one brother, Leonard; and four grandchildren, Donnie, Anthony, Allan, and Jaclyn.

Family has requested that memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
