Funeral services for Virginia Lorraine Scott, 88 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, August 10, 2015, 2:00 P.M. in the Presbyterian Church in Colony, Oklahoma with Jim Constant officiating. Burial will follow in Poage Cemetery, north of Colony, Oklahoma under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Virginia was born April 19, 1927 in Colony, Oklahoma to James Lloyd and Mary Helen (Dunn) Cosper and departed this life Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Weatherford Living Center. Virginia was raised and attended school in Colony until she married Delmer Claude Scott on February 27, 1943 in Arapaho, Oklahoma. To this union, four children were born: one daughter, Jojuana Kay; and three sons, Jimmy Charles, Larry Joe and Darrell Lynn. Virginia worked in cafes in the Weatherford and Hydro area. She also worked at 3M for a number of years and in Lu Lyn Nursing Home and Corn Heritage Village of Corn for several years. At the age of 20, she was baptized in the Baptist Church of Hydro. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Kay Woods and husband, Keith of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, Jimmy Scott and wife, Janice of Gracemont, Oklahoma; two daughters-in-law, Lisa Scott Holman of Clinton, Oklahoma and Janis Scott of Blanchard, Oklahoma; three brothers, James Richard Cosper and wife, Doris of Arrey, New Mexico, Jimmy Doyle Cosper of Roy, Utah and Lilburn Lloyd Cosper of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Darrell and Larry Scott; one sister, Ethelda Lucille Lawless; and sister-in-law, Darla Cosper.
