Violet Linda Easter was born May 24, 1940, in Elk City to Howard Glen and Mae (Martin) Morey and passed away, Thursday, April 8, 2021, at home in Weatherford, at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Linda was raised and attended school in Merritt, graduating from Merritt High School in 1958. On June 8, 1958, she married Max Easter, living in Elk City and Enid before settling in Weatherford in 1971. Linda worked with Avon Cosmetics which she loved selling makeup and visiting her ladies. She was a nurse's aide at the hospital in labor and delivery and also volunteered as a Pink Lady. Linda was quite the seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She had made 25 quilts in the last two years for her siblings, children and grandchildren. She was a woman of faith and had been a member of the Church of Christ for 50 years. Linda loved her family profusely and was happiest with all of her family around and was excited for new grandbabies.
Linda is survived by four sons, Ken Easter of Hollister, Mike Easter and wife, Jana of Gainesville, Georgia, Tim Easter and wife, Pat of Weatherford, and Mark Easter of Petal, Mississippi; one daughter, Cindy Zimmerman and husband, Todd of Mountain View; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Norma Jean; one brother, Harvey; one son, Alan; and two grandchildren, Adalyn and Hunter.
