Victor Roy Shook was born May 7, 1931, in Cogar to John and Ida (Garrett) Shook and passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City at the age of 88 years, 10 months 24 days.

Victor worked for the Department of Public Safety for nearly 30 years as a mechanic and then a shop supervisor. After retirement, he loved to work outdoors in the yard and loved to tinker around the house on different projects to keep busy. Victor was drafted into the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. On December 17, 1954, Victor married Verla Maxine Thomas and was married for 65 years before his passing.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Shook; sister, Arletta Donahue and two brothers, Ed Shook and Harley Shook. He is survived by his wife, Verla of their home in Oklahoma City and daughter, Vicki Anderson of California.
