Velda Cloreen Wood  was born November 9, 1950, in Oklahoma City to Carl James and Opal Josephine (Hackney) Jennings and passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at home in Weatherford having reached the age of 69 years, 8 months and 25 days.

Velda was raised and attended school in Chickasha, graduating with the Class of 1969.  She married Alfred Temple in El Reno where they made their home.  Velda worked as a bookkeeper for Jim Johnson for 12 years.  She taught Sunday school for over 40 years.  On August 27, 1987, Velda marred Don Dale Wood in El Reno and made their home in Weatherford.  She worked for ASAP for 6 years and owned and operated Delicious Designs.  Velda enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, gardening, cake decorating, and spending time with family and friends.  Memorials may be made to Life Fellowship Church.

Velda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Don Wood of their home in Weatherford; one son, Jeffrey Temple of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Kellie Temple of Weatherford; one step-daughter, Diane Easley of Phoenix;  one brother, Robert Jennings and wife, Kara of Bridgecreek; one sister, Karen Jennings of Chickasha; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Jennings.
