Troy Carter Ferguson was born March 29, 1961, in Wichita, Kansas to Roy and Yvonne Bergquist (O'Dell) Ferguson and passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Troy was raised and attended school in Wichita, Kansas, later moved to Liberal, Kansas and the family settled in Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1967 where he graduated from Weatherford High School in 1980.  In 1982, he attended Austin Community College for a year and married Julie Klammer.  They made their home in Austin, Texas where Troy worked for Johnson & Johnson for 15 years.  He moved to Round Rock and later Marble Falls, Texas before returning to Weatherford in 2010 to help with family.  Troy enjoyed surfing, skateboards, beach and swimming.  Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation "OMRF", 825 NE 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104 or to Free to Live Animal Sanctuary, PO Box 5884, Edmond, OK 73083.

Troy is survived by his mother, Berk Simmons of Weatherford; one daughter, Mia Ferguson of San Angelo, Texas; two brothers, Dennis Ferguson of Oklahoma City and Brian Ferguson and wife, Angela of Oklahoma City; nieces, Tara Ferguson, Elizabeth Reynolds, Katheryne Reynolds; and nephews, Colin Ferguson and Connor Ferguson.  He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Ferguson and daughter, Mylie.
