Graveside services for Thomas Lorraine Nance, 78 year-old Redding, California resident, formally of Amarillo, Texas, will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery. Services are under Lockstone Funeral Home.

Tom was born in Woodville, Oklahoma to Clarence and Bernadine (Groff) Nance passed away peacefully at home, in Redding, California, surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 24 days.

Tom was raised and attended school in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He joined the Navy in 1955 and served most of his time in California and the Pacific theater. Tom moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1961 and spent the rest of his adult life in the furniture business with Whites stores and the Furniture Showroom.

Tom was a passionate man that really loved his family, friends, and the Dallas Cowboys. In his spare time he really enjoyed walking, playing dominoes with his friends at the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, and attending the Thursday morning men's bible study in Hoyt Busby's automotive garage.

Tom was a very loving man and is survived by his wife Anna of 36 years, son Scott Nance and his wife Rebekah of Redding, California, son Chen Tsu and his wife Kristen of Plano, Texas, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Loved ones that cleared the path for Tom are his parents, his brother Clarence Martin Nance, his sister Sylvia Nance, his daughter Tamera Michelle Nance, and his granddaughter Carrie Ann Nance.
