Obituary

Terral Perry was born on February 1, 1964 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Elton and Gaylene (Bloom) Perry and passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his home in Hydro, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 2 months, and 9 days.

Terral grew up and went to school in Weatherford, Oklahoma graduating in 1982. While in high school he was a standout athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. He loved telling stories about all the fun he and the gang had during summer baseball. After graduating from Weatherford High School, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University on a football scholarship, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. While attending SWOSU and working at Goodman's gas station, he met the love of his life and best friend Charlotte Pitt. They were married on December 13, 1986 and to this union they had 2 children, daughter Karessa and son Lyndon.

After graduating from SWOSU, he owned and operated Perry 66 for 3 years. Upon leaving the gas station business, he began his career in law enforcement at Hinton Prison. Then to Custer County Sherriff Department starting as a jailer in May of 1995 and retiring as the Undersheriff in July of 2007.

He then began working in the oil and gas industry until his passing.

Terral was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Weatherford from the time he was 19 until he retired in 2003.

He loved the fire department. He grew up in the fire station while his grandfather and father were both volunteers for the Weatherford Fire Department.

Terral loved his family and children. He enjoyed watching and coaching his kids in all their activities. His most proud moment came when he became Papa. His granddaughters would always make him smile. He loved watching them in all their activities and sharing wild stories with them.

Terral is survived by his wife, Charlotte, of the home; daughter, Karessa Perry-Wallace and husband Johnny of Jones, Oklahoma; son, Lyndon Perry and wife Jessica of Weatherford, Oklahoma; his beautiful granddaughters Kacidie, Kaylie and Charleigh all of Jones, Oklahoma; mother, Gaylene Perry of Weatherford, Oklahoma; brother Todd Perry and wife Laura of Carmel, Indiana; mother-in-law, Judy Pitt and brother-in-law, Terry Pitt of Hydro, Oklahoma; brother-in-law H.D. Pitt, Jr and wife Holly of Owasso, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Becky and husband, Chad Hart of Kingfisher; three nephews, Chris Perry, Dakota Hart and Kale Hart; one niece, Lizzie Perry and many other relatives and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Elton Perry; grandparents, Earl and Ruby Perry and Roy and Christeen Bloom; and father-in-law H.D. Pitt.
