Teresa Jean
Haub
January 25, 1958 – August 15, 2023
Teresa Jean Haub was born January 25, 1958, in Oakwood, Oklahoma and went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Teresa was born and raised in Oakwood and later Weatherford, graduating from Weatherford High School in 1977. After high school Teresa managed the family restaurant Taco Hut. It was at the family restaurant that she found her love for feeding others. When you went to her home, she was sure to have a meal ready for you. She was famous for many of her specialties but her most loved was her potato salad, baked beans and beef stew. Teresa spent the last 15 years working for Weatherford Public Schools managing the cafeteria and serving children.
Teresa made her forever home in Weatherford and that is where she raised her two daughters Krystal and Taylor. She was a strong single Mom who taught her girls how to be strong and independent. She also taught them to put others first and love always. She most loved teaching them how to love OU football just like she did. They spent many Saturdays together watching football and eating their mom's treasured meals. But if you ask her daughters what job she loved best they would say being a Gram. She was Gram to her two beloved granddaughters Lyric and Asia. When they walked in the room she lit up. She loved them beyond measure and was always there for them. She was the best Gram that they could hope for. The whole family knows how to spend quality time together and their beloved Gram is the glue that holds them together. She was not only their Mom and Gram but she was their best friend.
Teresa was a loving and dedicated daughter and sister. Her family treasures the memories they made over the years. They also could not be more proud of the strength of Teresa and the legacy she left for her girls. Teresa and her family attended Liberty International Church where they found their second family and were able to worship and grow in their faith. Teresa also collected many treasured friends throughout her life. Those friends know that she was a no-frills kind of girl. She kept things simple, but she also loved a good pedicure.
Teresa is survived by her parents, Larry and Billie Haub of Yukon; two daughters, Krystal Adams of Weatherford and Taylor Howes of Yukon; two granddaughters Lyric and Asia; two brothers, Terry Haub of Weatherford and Troy Haub and wife, Jill of Kingfisher; one sister Tamara Stanley of Yukon and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Church.
