Funeral services for Susan Elaine Linde Johnson, 54 year-old Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Susans niece, Anna Hubbard officiating. Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford will be handling the arrangements.

Susan Elaine was born December 5, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Donald L. Linde and Mary Sue (Veale) Linde and passed away quietly on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home south of Hydro with her family gathered all around her. Susan was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Thomas Edison High School in May of 1976. She was an active member of the Wo-Kon-Ya Camp Fire Group, the Southside Christian Church youth group and the Golden Eagle Marching Band. She attended Oklahoma University in Norman where she majored in geology and was a member of the Flag Corps in the OU Marching Band. While attending college, Susan worked at CORE Labs in Oklahoma City where she met the love of her life, Rick Johnson. On January 5, 1980, Susan and Rick were married in Tulsa. They moved to Independence, Kansas in 1981 where they started their family. In 1992, Susan and her family moved to La Junta, Colorado. Susan attended Regis University in Denver and earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in French Education in 1997. While in La Junata, Susan taught French, accompanied the high school choirs, and directed the choirs at La Junta High School from 1994-2006. She also played piano for church and was a member of the Community Orchestra where she played violin. Rick and Susan moved to Hydro, Oklahoma in the fall of 2007 to be closer to their families. For the past four years, Susan worked for United Supermarkets in both Weatherford and Clinton. She was an active member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford where she was currently serving as the church pianist, service organist and choir member where her talents will be greatly missed! Susan blessed many people with her beautiful music through the years and had a strong faith and fortitude which was evident even until the end through her battle with cancer. She was a Hero to many people who knew her. Susan loved sharing her love of music with others, painting, traveling to France with her high school classes, doing crafts, redecorating her homes as well as spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life.

Susan is survived by her husband, Rick Johnson of their home in Hydro; her son, Travis Johnson (Irene Fausto) of Weatherford; her daughter, Carly Johnson Carney (Lance) of Hydro; a sister, Nancy Linde Pratt (Keith) of Dublin, Ohio; a brother, Gary Linde (Susan) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Isaeh and Gabe Johnson (Laura Wissar, mother; Lexi Johnson, Emma Sue Carney and Tucker Carney; as well as nieces and nephews, special friends, Christie Embrey Wilson and Ann Weddle Figart as well as the rest of the Wo-Kon-Ya Camp Fire Group, and numerous friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Donald L. and Mary Sue Linde.
