Stevie Edward
Adams
January 12, 1955 – April 16, 2026
Stevie Edward Adams, age 71, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Steve was born on January 12, 1955, in Hereford, Texas, to Art and Claudette (Short) Adams. He grew up with a deep love for the outdoors; hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He also shared a profound love for music with his mother, Claudette. This passion led them to sing together in the gospel group The Chosen Vessels.
In his twenties, Steve dedicated his life to the Lord and was a true and faithful servant. He led many praise and worship groups and devoted his time to ministering to children and youth. He deeply touched the lives of all who knew him.
Steve provided for his family as a skilled welder while working for Vesco, Inc. in Woodward, Oklahoma. He also proudly served the community of Mooreland as a reserve police officer.
Steve was known for his warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering support for those he loved and spending time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his children: Jerimy Adams, Monica Adams (Fiancé Justin), Misty Bates (Greg), and Joshua Adams; his ten grandchildren: Lainey, Cannon, Alexis (Fiancé Tazden), Hunter, Blaine, Liam, Madilyn, Addison, Ethan and Ayden; and his two great-grandchildren, Jordynn and Lainey Jo along with many other family members and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
