Graveside services for Shelly Devon Hamar, 46 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at Hydro Masonic Cemetery in The Chapel with Rick Dyson officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Shelly was born July 19, 1969, to Everett and Patricia (Carman) Hamar and passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Shelly was raised north of Hydro and attended Hydro schools and graduated from Hydro High School in 1987. During her school years she was the Mascot for Hydro schools and she attended dance school with Joyces School of Dance. Shelly attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She moved to Oklahoma City where she lived from 1989 to 2013 when she returned to Hydro. Shelly enjoyed music, photography, traveling, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Despite the struggles of life, Shelly possessed unbounding love, laughter and compassion for others. Her soul knew no judgment; her love was authentic and lives on within the countless lives that she touched. Her exuberance will be deeply missed, but there is comfort in knowing that she has been freed from all worldly suffering and is now leading the angels in choir and assisting God with his plan for the Sooner Magic. Shelly is survived by her brother, Marty Hamar of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two nieces, Zandra Hamar and Mackenzie Hamar; and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
