Shelley Melaine Gather was born August 9, 1961, in El Reno to Eddie and Vivian Smith and passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019, at home, at the age of 58 years, 2 months, and 18 days.

Shelley was raised and attended school in Hinton graduating from Hinton High School in 1979. On June 7, 1979, she married Terry Lawrence Gather, making their home in Weatherford. While Terry was serving his country, the family lived in various places. They moved back to Oklahoma in 2003, settling in Oklahoma City. Shelley enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Shelley is survived by her mother, Vivian Smith; her husband of 40 years, Terry Gather; two sons, Charles Gather and his wife, Amber and Josh Gather and his wife, Rebecca; two sisters, Kimberly Erwin and her husband, Bill and Angela Seigrist and her husband, Andrew; and seven grandchildren, Elijah, Jack, Evelyn, Katie, Ryan, Luke, and Nate. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Smith.
