SeReatha Ann Steele was born to William Morris and Wanda Jo (Truelock) Stephens  on September 27, 1944, in Coryell, TX and passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in Thomas, OK, at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 12 days.

SeReatha was raised in Quitaque, TX. She attended school in Quitaque and graduated in 1963. After high school she went to West Texas A.M. for three years. She married and made her home in Austin where she worked for the Chamber of Commerce. SeReatha retired and moved to Lubbock to take care of her mother.  On August 12, 2017, she married Jim Ed Steele in Thomas where they made their home.  SeReatha enjoyed crocheting, her dogs, Country and Western music, and spending time with family and friends.  Memorials may be made to the Freedom Worship Center.

SeReatha is survived by her husband of six years, Jim Steele of their home in Thomas and one nephew, Shawn Stephens of Prosper, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
