Memorial services for Rubye Paulette (Crownover) Hargis, 64 year-old Atoka, Oklahoma resident, formerly of Weatherford, Oklahoma, will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Doyle Warren under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Paulette was born March 22, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Chester and Eileen (Foster) Crownover and passed away September 30, 2013 in Atoka, Oklahoma. Paulette was a graduate of Weatherford High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Through the years she was a child welfare specialist with the Citizen Potawatomi Tribe of Oklahoma, Canadian County Juvenile Officer, served OKDHS as social worker and case manager for 31 years and was the Human Resources Director with INCA for three years after retirement. In addition, she was Atoka County Director of the Red Cross, Deputy with the Atoka Emergency Management and an Atoka EMT. Paulette was a member of Atoka First Baptist Church where she sang and played her guitar and banjo. She was also an avid OU Sooner fan.

Paulette is survived by her sister, Janet Girard and husband, LeRoy of El Reno, Oklahoma; niece, Kelly Base and husband, Darren of Geary, Oklahoma; and a great niece, Brooke Base. She was preceded in death by her parents.
