Memorial services for Ruby Claudine Parker, 65 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating.

Ruby was born September 18, 1946 in Arvonia, Virginia to Hubert and Cassie Wharam and passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Ruby was raised and attended school in Arvonia, Virginia, graduating from Buckingham High School in 1965. On June 25, 1965, she married Jerry Wayne Parker in Arvonia, Virginia. They moved to Weatherford in 1978 where she started with The Center which later became the YMCA and worked as a membership coordinator for 25 years. Ruby enjoyed her grandchildren and their activities, flowers, and working at the Y. Memorials may be made to the YMCA.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Mary Howe and husband, Brad; and two grandsons, Parker and Connor all of Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Hubert and Glover; and two sisters, Charlotte and Bertha.
