Rosalie Ann "Rose" Walker was born January 14, 1945, in Eldorado, Kansas to Marion and Minnie (Strong) Hoyle and passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 26 days.
Rose was raised and attended school in Hutchinsons, Kansas. On September 2, 1961, she married Velmar Gene Walker in Yates Center, Kansas and made their home in Santa Cruz, California for 2 years. They moved to Oklahoma living in Midwest City, Moore, and Newcastle, and later Arkansas and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved back to Oklahoma in 1995 settling in Weatherford. Rose enjoyed reading her Bible, puzzles, cooking, and cleaning. Her family was very important and Rose loved her time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Rose is survived by two sons, Terry Walker and wife, Betty of Norfolk, Virginia and Tim Walker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Tamara Garrison and husband, Stan of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two brothers, Floyd Hoyle and Lloyd Hoyle both of Hutchinson, Kansas; four sisters, Marge Terral, Ruth "Lola" Smith, Laura Hurst, and Lois Dilbeck all of Hutchinson, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jylian, Dustin, Kamber and Kayla; and two great-granddaughters, Avry and Camryn. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Hoyle; two sisters, Mary Zink and Betty McIntyre; and son, Tommy Walker.
