Funeral services for Ronald Dwayne Smith, 72 year-old Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Ronald was born January 12, 1941 in Culver City, California to Fred and Lorene (Bates) Smith and passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home in Hydro, Oklahoma. Ronald was raised and attended school north of Weatherford and later moved to Clinton where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1959. On October 16, 1960, he married Faye McLaughlin and made their home in Clinton. Ronald was self-employed working as a mechanic. He moved to Weatherford in 1976 and worked for Butcher Goodyear Tire. On October 7, 1977, Ronald married Wilma (Bahney) Patterson in Clovis, New Mexico and made their home in Weatherford where he worked for ANR Pipeline Services for 20 years before retiring in 2000. In 2001, they moved to Hydro. Ronald enjoyed working on automobiles, woodworking making furniture, and remodeling homes. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Hospital in memorial of Austin Perkins.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wilma Smith of their home in Hydro, Oklahoma; two daughters, Terri (Smith) Hutchings and husband, Kevin of Edmond, Oklahoma and Jerri Shepherd and husband, Rusty of Clinton, Oklahoma; three step-sons, John Patterson and wife, Joanne of Glennville, Georgia, Jimmy Patterson of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and James Patterson of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Gary Smith of Clinton, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Dwight Perkins; and one grandson, Austin Perkins.
