Funeral services for Roger Lee Poor, 52 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Eakly, Oklahoma with Johnny Lee officiating.

Roger was born October 7, 1960 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to John Harrison and Barbara Jean (Boyd) Poor and passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roger was raised and attended school in Eakly, Oklahoma. He worked in the oilfield as a rig hand. On July 26, 1981, Roger married Valerie Lynn Wells and to this union they had two children, who say that he was the best father and grandfather. Roger enjoyed fishing, working, spending time with his family and grandchildren, watching football and wrestling.

Roger is survived by his girlfriend, Shawn Hill of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Janeissa Poor of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, Jondun Poor of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two sisters, Janice Mae Radford of Lookeba, Oklahoma and Janet Bratcher of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three brothers, John Poor, Jr. of Lookeba, Oklahoma, M.J. Poor and wife, Carol of DeQueen, Arkansas, and Jerry Neil Poor and wife, Georgeanne of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and four grandchildren, Jaden, Tressa, Tracen, and Jake. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Chase Gene Poor.
