Funeral services for Robert Bob J. Steiner, 72 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2016, 10:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Bob was born April 14, 1944, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to John Robert and Myrna (Shackleford) Steiner and passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016, at his home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Bob was raised and attended school in Weatherford, graduating from Weatherford High School with the Class of 1962. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army Reserve in which he served for the next 8 years. On August 23, 1963 he married Barbara Ann Demotte and they made their home in Weatherford. He attended Southwestern State College, earning a double major in secondary education and business in 1967. From 1967 to 1973, he ran the Mobil Service Station and Distribution Warehouse. Bob later worked for 3M as the Supervisor of Shipping and Distribution, retiring in 2002 after 28 years with the company. He also farmed wheat and raised cattle south of Weatherford, retiring in 2008. Bob was a hard worker and enjoyed being involved with his kids, grandkids and their activities. Bob also enjoyed watching westerns with his grandkids, especially Gunsmoke (all 635 episodes), baseball, basketball, football, and being a foster parent to numerous kids over 12 years. Memorials may be made to the Multi-county Youth Shelter.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara DeMotte Steiner of Weatherford, OK; three daughters, Tonya Gaunt and husband Kelly of Clinton, OK, Nicole Rogan and husband Henry of Tulsa, OK, and Krista Steiner of Weatherford, OK; one son, Sean Steiner and Terri Walsh of Tuttle, OK; one brother, Dale Steiner and wife, Ann, ; Mother-in-law, Juanita Holladay; 2 sister-in-laws, Jeanne Yerasimides, and Bonnie Steiner; brother-in-law, Theodore Yerasimides; five grandchildren; Jennifer Williams Jenny Jenn Jenn, Maci Steiner Maci Maci, Gage Gaunt Bud, Jackson Steiner Billy Bob, and Grady Gaunt Bo; one great grandson, Trenton Wilson Speedy; and numerous nieces and nephews including Tom Steiner, David Steiner, Susan Steiner, Pam Roush, Peggy Newton, Jana Easter, Patricia Mowery, Mike North, Joe North, Mitch Steiner, Vicki Donley, Kathy Jones, Stephanie Heinrichs, Michelle Robinson, Marty Morris, David Steiner, Paul Steiner, Keneath Brantley, Erin Silberlicht, and Jonathon Yerasimides .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Steiner and Myrna Shakelford Steiner; 5 brothers and 3 sister-in-laws, Carl Steiner and wife, Betty, Lawrence Steiner and wife, Jackie, Bill Steiner and wife, Leana, Glen Laverne Steiner, and Kenneth Steiner; and 2 sisters and 2 brother-in-laws, Evadene Woolbert and husband, Jerry, and Betty Howsley and husband, Louis.
