Funeral service for Robert Royce Sauer, 78 year-old Weatherford resident, will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Earl Stephenson and Scott Page officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Robert was born on May 27, 1936 to Fred and Clara (Hoersch) Sauer on the family farm southwest of Weatherford and passed away on January 16th, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was raised southwest of Weatherford and attended Friesen School and Weatherford Public Schools. After school he enlisted in the 45th National Guard and spent six months in Atlanta Georgia. He worked for Doug Condor Drilling and Klaassen Electric. In 1961 he started Bobs Electric, which he operated until his death. He joined the Weatherford Volunteer Fire Department in 1975 and later became a full-time firefighter. He took a medical retirement in 1989.

Bob and Lorene Sinclair were married in the First Baptist Church of Weatherford, Oklahoma on October 9, 1955. They have four children: Cheryl, Timothy, Marty and Darlynda.

Grandchildren: Dusty and Sumer Friesen, James, Mark, and Nichole Yacoub; Krystal, Tia, Tanner and Tiffany Sauer; Joshua and Ryan Sauer; Kerra Hardy, Aaron, Brian and Cory Cheatham.

They have twenty great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.

Survived by his wife of 59 years, three children, two brothers, four brothers in law, two sisters-in-law, one aunt and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, one son, two grandsons, one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
