Robert Lee Sanders was born February 12, 1934 to Luther and Dicie (Powers) Sanders in Carnegie and passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Corn Heritage Village in Corn having reached the age of 85 years, 4 months and 16 days.

Robert was raised in Carnegie and attended South Pioneer Rural School and later Carnegie Public School. On February 21, 1953 he married Charlotte Ann Miller in Anadarko. He lived in Chickasha and Fort Worth before making their home in Carnegie where they raised their family together. Robert enjoyed visiting with friends and drinking coffee at the Hop & Sack, driving around town, and going to yard sales.

Robert is survived by 3 sons, Royce Lee Sanders and wife Patty of Lawton, Jack Sanders and wife Lisa of Carnegie, and Shanon Sanders and wife Carolyn of Weatherford; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and one sister, Faye Turney of Carnegie. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and one daughter, Cynthia Ann Walker.
