Robert Dean Holmes was born to Meryl and Margaret (Merkey) Holmes on August 18, 1971 in Thomas, Ok and passed away Friday December 8, 2017 at Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, OK. Robert was raised and attended school at Thomas, graduating in 1989. After High School he worked for Danlin Industries for 16 years. Robert had also been attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Robert taught and coached at Sayre public schools from 2008-2015. In 2015 he moved and started teaching at El Reno public schools. He loved watching sports, spending time with his family and coaching football, track, basketball, golf, and softball and was a member of the Thomas Fire Department for 30 years.

He is survived by his parents, Margaret Holmes and Meryl Homes. His wife Carmen Holmes and three children Jason, Malorie, and Lynnley Holmes.
