Memorial services for Robert Bob Eldon Hardy, 65 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in Pine Acres Church with Pastor Brian Harris officiating under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Bob was born June 28, 1947 in Erick, Oklahoma to Albert Curtis and Treva Lucille (Ward) Hardy and passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bob was raised and attended school in Erick and graduated from Erick High School in 1965. Upon graduation he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1969. He worked for Boise Cascade in Oklahoma City until 1979 when he bought the County Building Center in Weatherford and managed it for 42 years. On May 20, 1995, he married Janice (Powell) Wilson in Elk City and they made their home in Weatherford. Bob enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, listening to music, collecting guns and antiques, photography, cooking, and watching sports especially OU football.

Bob is survived by his wife of 17 years, Janice Hardy of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, Darren Hardy and wife, Tara of Lake City, Colorado; four daughters, Angela Caler and husband, Dennis of Clinton, Oklahoma, Christi Stewart and husband, Kyle of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Shannon Caudillo and husband, Lupe of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Brandy Chase and husband, Brett of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one sister, Theresa Nabors of Pampa, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Shelby, Dylan, Zachary, Colby, Kylee, Cooper, Kennedy, Carsyn, Reed, Morgan, and Caleb; a special aunt, Maxine Williams of Sayre, Oklahoma; and best friend, Keith Sawatzky of Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty (Baker) Hardy; one daughter, Julie Hardy; one son in infancy, Brian Shane Hardy; and one brother, Alva Hardy.
