Funeral services for Robert Bob Gene Lettkeman, 59 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Scott Hume officiating.
Bob was born June 8, 1955 in Dothan, Alabama to Orville and Wanda (Gilstrap) Lettkeman and passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at home in Weatherford surrounded by family. Bob was raised and attended school in California until 1966 when his family moved to Clinton, Oklahoma where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1973. He drove an oilfield truck for years. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army during 1983 1989 stationed in Germany and continued working in Germany for the military. On May 21, 1999, he married Gail Davis in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home in Weatherford. Bob started B & G Distributers serving convenience stores in western Oklahoma. He enjoyed golfing, playing darts, shooting pool, bowling, and being with his family and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Bob is survived by his mother, Wanda Lettkeman of Clinton, Oklahoma; his wife, Gail Lettkeman of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Lettkeman and wife, Carrie of Weatherford, Oklahoma; five daughters, Laura Munn and husband, Vince of San Diego, California, Renilta Denny and husband, Shannon of Erick, Oklahoma, Samantha Johnston and husband, Ronald of Fort Collins, Colorado, Kirsten Beyer and husband, Jason of Bonner Springs, Kansas, and Meredith Sprong of Ontario, Canada; four brothers, David Lettkeman and wife, Misty of Parker, Colorado, Dennis Lettkeman and wife, Shirley of Watonga, Oklahoma, Pete Lettkeman and wife, Jennie of OFallon, Illinois, and Tony Lettkeman and wife, Holly of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Tavaris and Tyrone Heap of Birds, Summer and Autumn Lettkeman, Xadrian and Bentlee Hernandez, Kelsey, Morgan, and Austin Baxter, Andrew and Will Johnston, Logan, Gage, and Piper Beyer. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Lettkeman.
