Memorial services for Robert Dale Bob Lynde, 80 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, 2:00 P.M. in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Brack officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Bob was born September 11, 1936, in Boulder, Colorado to Vernon and Dorothy (Hamilton) Lynde and passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, with his wife and son by his side, at Weatherwood Assisted Living in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Bob was raised and attended school in Kansas and graduated in 1956 from Fowler High School in Fowler, Kansas. On May 24, 1959, he married Karen Lett in the Fowler Christian Church in Fowler, Kansas and they made their home in Meade, Kansas. While in Kansas he worked at Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline and later American Natural Resources. In 1976, they made the move to Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was in the National Guard, and had been active in Jaycees and Elks Lodge during his lifetime. Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and coaching little league. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Weatherford or to Faith Hospice.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Karen Lynde of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, Russell D. Lynde of the home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; two sisters, Patty Dufield and husband, Donald of Plains, Kansas and Clara Mae Linke and husband, Jerry of Kanapolis Lake, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Vern and Les.
