Funeral: 10:00 AM Monday, September 9th, 2013St. Eugene Catholic Church

Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Bob Alfred Blyth, 87 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Eugene Catholic Church with Father Chris Tran officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at funeral home.

Robert was born April 30, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Laurence Dale and Margaret (Klink) Blyth and passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Weatherford Regional Hospital. Robert was raised and attended school in East Troy, Wisconsin and graduated from East Troy High School in 1944. Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy. Robert served aboard the USS LCS (Mighty Midget) 61 which was positioned primarily in the South Pacific until the end of the war in 1946. He attended the University of Alabama before returning to East Troy. While living in East Troy, he was employed by Burlington Brass Works where he met and married his wife, Mary Erline on October 30, 1954. In 1956, he became employed by Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline as a measurement engineer which caused him to be relocated several times until he ultimately moved to Weatherford in 1982. He remained an active member of the Weatherford community until his passing on September 4, 2013. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, gardening, and cooking. Memorials may be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Margaret (Blyth) Pearson of Janesville, Wisconsin; grandson, Jeffery (Teri) Pearson of Beloit, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Patricia (Richard) Craft of Eagan, Minnesota and Victoria (Tim) Swenson of Janesville, Wisconsin; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and his dear friend, Tiffany Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew Blyth; wife, Mary Blyth; and his son-in-law, Patrick Pearson.
