Richard Harrison Leger was born August 6, 1981, in Houston, TX to Richard Wagner and Cheryl John and passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in Weatherford, OK, at the age of 41 years, 8 months and 6 days.

Richard and his brother, Robert, were adopted at a young age by Robert Lee and Cheryl Ann (Lester) Leger.  They lived in Huntsville, TX and later moved to Pampa, TX.  Richard graduated from Pampa High School in 2000.  In 2002, his son, Garrett, was born followed by Audrey in 2004 and Laden in 2010.  Richard moved to Weatherford, OK in 2011 where he worked in the oilfield.  On May 6, 2017, he married Sharil (Lucus) McCoy in Weatherford.  Richard enjoyed playing corn hole, riding his motorcycle, and playing with his grandkids.  He loved being outdoors, fishing, and working with his hands.  Richard never met a stranger.

Richard is survived by his wife of five years, Sharil Leger of their home in Weatherford, OK; two sons, Garett Herrera of Pampa, TX and Laden Leger of Los Lunas, NM; daughter, Audrey Leger of Pampa, TX; step-sons, Joshua McCoy and wife, Melissa of Thomas, OK, Johnathan McCoy of Claremore, OK, Justin McCoy and wife, Amy of Custer City, OK; step-daughter, Brandie North and husband, Carl of Neodesha, KS; grandkids, Andrew Harrall, Clarity and Charlotte North, LilyAnn, Ryder, Ryleigh and Maxwell McCoy, Hannah and Ashlyn McCoy, Levi and Asher McCoy, and a grandchild on the way; three brothers, Ryan Leger and wife, Sammie of League City, TX, Kyle Leger and wife, Carlee of Gatesville, TX and Robert Leger, Jr. of Houston, TX; four sisters, Melinda Trevino and husband, Emit of Houston, TX, Tiera Leger of Gatesville, TX, Robin Lyons and husband, Tim of Cypress, TX, and Crystal Wagner of Houston, TX; fellow H20 Baggers; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Richard Wagner and Robert Leger.
