Richard "Dick" Joseph Soucy, 96, passed away on December 29, 2025; he was born on August 22, 1929, in Concord, New Hampshire.
Dick served proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. His service included tours overseas in Iceland, Germany, and Vietnam, where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal. He was also stationed in Boston, Massachusetts; Oxnard, California; Biloxi, Mississippi, and San Antonio, Texas; retiring from Lackland, AFB in 1968 as a Master Sergent after working on Crypto Communications Equipment for many years.
During his life, he enjoyed bowling for more than 40 years as a team member on a number of leagues. He was also a member of the Lewisville, Texas Lions club, and participated in many fundraising events. For several years, he rang the bell for the Salvation Army's red kettle during the Christmas holiday season.
All his life, he loved to travel with his family around the country, going sightseeing to many national landmarks and parks. After full retirement, he enjoyed numerous cruising adventures to other countries and was even married to Jerri during a cruise to the Caribbean.
Dick is survived by his wife, Jeraldene (Jerri), of 25 years; his two daughters, H. Joi Soucy, (Philip Becker) and Teresa (David) Riley; four grandchildren, Douglas Stefan, Keith Stefan, Timothy Riley, and Patrick Riley; eight great-grandchildren; his extended family Rick and Angie Goodall, Tami and Stan Prichard, their children, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Hazel Joyce (Bush) Soucy, his parents, Octave and Eva (Marier) Soucy, his brothers, Joseph and Raymond; sisters, Theresa Moore, Lorraine Tavella, and Jeanette Wallace; and last but not least, his favorite dog "Jinx."
