Funeral services for Richard Earl Gather, 54 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at Liberty Church with Pastor Keith Brisco officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Richard was born April 28, 1961, in Hobart, Oklahoma to Jerry and Winnie (Ragland) Gather and passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Sayre Hospital in Sayre, Oklahoma. Richard was raised and attended school in Weatherford, graduating from Weatherford High School in 1979. He worked in construction where he did carpentry and laying tile. On April 24, 1998, Richard married Susan Bishop and they made their home in Weatherford. He was manager for Ace Hardware. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Memorials may be made to the America Heart Association.

Richard is survived by his wife of 18 years, Susan Gather of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; his father, Jerry Gather of Hobart, Oklahoma; his mother, Winnie Gather of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; two sons, Kyle Gather of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Jonathan Boyer and friend, Carolina Colchado of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three brothers, Terry Gather and wife, Shelley of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Jimmy Gather and wife, Kimberly of Mangum, Oklahoma, and Bobby Gather, and wife, Michelle of Hobart, Oklahoma; one sister, Misty Norris and husband, Dave of Hobart, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Isaac Gather and Autumn Colchado. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Shirley Gather; one brother, Raymond, and one son, Jody Boyer.
