Funeral Services for Richard Harold Eakins, 54 year-old Hydro resident, will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the First Christian Church of Hydro, Oklahoma with Pastor Rick Dyson and Don Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Richard was born September 18, 1960 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Richard and Betty (Phillips) Eakins and passed away on January 17, 2015 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was raised and graduated from Hydro High School in 1978. He went to work in the oil field following high school. On May 11, 1995 he married Mary Beth (Palmer) Eakins. He later drove a truck in the oilfield. In 2007, he started working in sales and was currently working for M.C.E. oilfield services. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, the 4th of July and telling jokes. Memorials may be made to The First Christian Church of Hydro.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Eakins of the home; his mother, Betty Eakins of Hydro, Oklahoma; two sons, Richie Eakins of Meeker, Oklahoma and Dylan Eakins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Robin and her husband, Billy Karlin of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Rae and her husband, Deano Wright of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Emma Rae Eakins; and two adopted grandchildren, Logan and Jackson Picklesimmer; and nieces, Taylor and Taryn Karlin and Laramie and Laney Grace Wright. He was preceded in death by his father.
