Richard Lee Cline was born August 3, 1935, in Thomas, Oklahoma to Charles and Alta (Vaughn) Cline and passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at West Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years and 24 days.

Richard was raised and attended school in the Thomas area, graduating from Weatherford High School in 1953. He attended Oklahoma State University for a year and then transferred to Southwestern State College where he earned his Bachelor Degree in 1959. Richard taught school in McLean, Texas, Clinton and Weatherford and later in Thomas from 1969 to 1988. On January 8, 1976, he married Sharon Mosburg in Thomas. Richard taught school for over 30 years before retiring in 1991. He was active in farming and ranching before retiring in 2012. Richard enjoyed farming, spending time with family and friends, and his grandson, Dallas "Cowboy". Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Cline of their home in Stillwater, Oklahoma; son, Richard Cline Jr. of Aledo, Texas; daughter, Karena Tyler of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one sister, Janice Seigler and husband, David of Urbana, Illinois; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ellen; and three daughters, Sherry Cline, Vicki Abernathy, and Katrina Cline.
