Rachel Catharine Kixmiller was born March 21, 1926, in Grandfield to George Washington and Janet Amy (Robson) Johnston and passed away, Thursday, September 24, 2020, in Ada, at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 3 days.

Rachel was raised and attended school in Grandfield and the Hydro area.  On January 9, 1946, she married Jake William Kixmiller in Hydro and they made their home in Oklahoma City.  They moved to Weatherford in 1973 and she worked for 3M in data processing before retiring in 1991.  She moved to Ada to be near family.  Rachel enjoyed sewing, playing Yahtzee and card games, and going to the casino.  Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary.

Rachel is survived by three daughters, Vivian Glidewell of Weatherford, Cathy Barber of Ada and Patricia Payne of Weatherford; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jake; son, Anthony; daughter, Linda; and daughter-in-law, Beverly.
