Graveside services for Phyllis (Boyd) Ellzey, 82 year-old, former Fay, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 3:30 P.M. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Fay, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.

Phyllis was born November 29, 1934, in Fay, Oklahoma to Chester and Audrey Boyd and passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Phyllis was born in the red brick house west of Fay that was built by Grant Boyd, her grandfather. Phyllis had an older sister Barbara, and a younger brother Grant (Bud), and a younger sister Janice.

Phyllis graduated from Fay high school in 1953. After high school Phyllis went to college at Oklahoma University where she met and married Lucian (Bill) Ellzey, and they married on Jan. 25th 1957. Bill was the son of Lena and Lucian Ellzey of Elk City Oklahoma. Phyllis finished her education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and spent her career as an elementary school teacher for Putnam City Schools.

Phyllis is survived by three sons, William Ellzey, Andrew Ellzey, and Jay Mitchell Ellzey; five grandchildren, Adam, Whitney, Jordan, Will and Zoey; and one great-grandson, Ethan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and sister, Barbara.
