Phillip Ray Post was born December 9, 1952 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Leslie and Alice (Weeks) Post and passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 11 days.

Phil was raised and attended school in Anadarko, Oklahoma and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1971. He worked in construction and in the oilfield. In 1988, he moved to Weatherford and continued working in the oilfield. On March 10, 1995, Phil married Shelley (Hamburger) Miller in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home near Corn before moving to the Hydro area. Phil enjoyed fishing, traveling to Mexico, watching OU football and OKC Thunder basketball, camping, going to stock shows with Jacobey, and being with family and cooking for them. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Phil is survived by his wife of 17 years, Shelley Post of their home near Hydro, Oklahoma; three sons, Vernon Post and wife, Amy of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Chris Post and wife, Laura of Norman, Oklahoma, and Jacobey Post of the home; one sister, Lourene Webb and husband, Dale of California; six grandchildren, Callie, Cassidy, Ashlyn, Taylor, Robbie, and Lily; mother-in-law, Marilyn Waters and husband, Richard of Weatherford, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Kurt Hamburger and wife, Joann of Weatherford, Oklahoma; step-brother-in-law, Rod Waters and wife, Chris of Hydro, Oklahoma; step-sisters-in-law, Gerri Hutchison of Thomas, Oklahoma and Dixie Yoder and husband, Galen of Hydro, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne and Jimmy; and two sisters, Joan and Faye.
