Obituary

Phil Lavon Risinger was born December 21, 1938, in Hollis to Hurshal and Estelle Elizabeth (Wyatt) Risinger and passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Glade Assisted Living in Bethany, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 7 days.

The Risinger family consisted of three boys and one younger sister, with Phil being the youngest son.  Phil was a graduate of Weatherford High School and Southwestern State College.  He did graduate work at the Harding Graduate School of Religion.  Phil served as minister for several churches.  He retired from professional baseball, Church of Christ ministries, insurance adjusting and storm trooping.  The Risinger family remained in Weatherford until their final days.  Phil gives honor to his parents, teachers, coaches and employers with glory, honor and praise to GOD our Heavenly Father through CHRIST His Eternal SON. The family requests no flowers please.

Phil is survived by his sister, Rose Ratcliffe and husband, Richard of Weatherford; three nieces, Renae Acosta of Clinton, Sherri Smith and husband, Mike of Wichita, Kansas and Emily Otero and husband, Jesus of Oklahoma City; one nephew, James Ratcliffe and wife, Dana Leigh of Weatherford; and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; and two older brothers, Joe and Don Risinger.
