Funeral services for Paul Phillip Derryberry, 62 year-old Yukon, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ, in Hydro, Oklahoma, with James Cudd officiating. Burial will follow in Poage Cemetery, south of Hydro, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Phil was born April 14, 1951 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Mary Jo (Andrews) Derryberry and passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Phil was raised and attended school in Hydro where he graduated from Hydro High School in 1969. He earned his Pharmacy degree from Southwestern State College in 1974. He moved to Duncanville, Texas to work as a pharmacist and worked there for many years prior to returning to Oklahoma in 2013. On February 25, 1989, Phil married Carolyn Cowling in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Phil loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed hunting quail, watching hockey games and baseball games. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ in Hydro, Oklahoma, American Cancer Society, Southwestern Oklahoma State University School of Pharmacy, or the charity of your choice.

Phil is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carolyn Derryberry, of their home in Yukon, Oklahoma; a daughter, Kristen Derryberry, and husband, Cameron Sampler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a daughter, Carrie Giesbrecht of Yukon, Oklahoma and a grandson, Dillon Giesbrecht of Yukon, Oklahoma; three brothers, Burt Derryberry and wife, Shirley of Marlow, Oklahoma, Bill Derryberry and wife, Lisa of Hydro, Oklahoma, and Walt Derryberry and wife, Marcy of Hinton, Oklahoma; and one sister, Rita Derryberry of Yukon, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents.
