Memorial services for Patsy Pat Sue King, 77 year-old Eakly, Oklahoma resident, will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Eakly with Terry Flansburg officiating under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
Pat was born July 29, 1936 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Dr. Clarence Bennette and Esther Grace (Bayles) Sullivan and passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Pat was raised and attended school in Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School in 1954. Pat attended USAO in Chickasha and later transferred to Oklahoma University where she earned a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation she worked at St. Marys Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. On August 4, 1963, she married Leon King in Tulsa, Oklahoma and made their home in various locations and settled in Oklahoma City. In 1965, they moved to the family farm, north of Eakly, to raise their family together. She was a lifelong member of the Eakly HCE Group. Pat enjoyed gardening, sewing, going to the grandkids ball games, the Sunday dinners with the family and spending time together. She was a kind and caring friend to all; she loved and treasured her family dearly. Memorials may be made to the Eakly Volunteer Fire Department.
Pat is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leon King of their home in Eakly, Oklahoma; two sons, Steven King, Mike King and wife, Mindy all of Eakly, Oklahoma; two daughters, Marsha Stickley and husband, Bruce of Cache, Oklahoma and Lori Wilburn of Eakly, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Dylan King, Denton King, Dayton King and Tanner Wilburn; two sisters-in-law, Patt Sullivan of Norman, Oklahoma and Nila Dobry and husband, Frank of Moore, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Jesse and Helen King; two brothers, Dr. Bennette Sullivan and Dr. Robert Sullivan; sister, Mary Page; and one niece, Elizabeth Page.
