Memorial services for Patrick Leon Hixon, 74 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016, 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Patrick was born November 14, 1941, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Charles and Olive (Hodges) Hixon and passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016, at home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Patrick was raised and attended school in Guthrie, Oklahoma and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1959. He later moved to Woodward, Oklahoma and worked in the oilfield and at the public schools. On December 20, 1975, Patrick married Leigh Ann Huckins in Woodward. He moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma in 2004 and he worked as a residential advisor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and in 2008 he earned a Bachelor degree in History. Patrick later worked at Homeland and OReillys Auto Supply. He enjoyed coaching and umpiring for Kids, Inc. while in Woodward, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and bowling. Patrick is survived by one son, Chuck Hixon of Poteau, Oklahoma; two daughters, Jayme Lowry and husband, Brody of Colony, Oklahoma and Angela Cross and husband, Todd of Perry, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Sam Sumpter, Paige Cross, and Brylee and Kash Lowry; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Jaydon Sumpter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
