Orval Eldon Springer was born December 18, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William "Bill" and Beulah (Hale) Springer. He went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 15 days.

Orval was raised and attended school in Duncan, Oklahoma graduating with the Class of 1966. On August 4, 1967, he married Patricia Mae Springer in Byers, Texas. Orval attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. Pat and Orval traveled the central and western parts of the states as evangelists. They pastored churches in Kingman, Kansas; Lordsburg, New Mexico; Pearl and Roseland Oklahoma. In 1993, they pioneered and pastored Grace Assembly Of God in Weatherford. They settled their home permanently in Weatherford in 1977 and continued to run the family business, Willie Kilpest, until Orval retired.

Orval loved the Lord with all his heart and loved to share the word of God with everyone everywhere all the time.  He also loved to talk and tell, and retell, stories of his favorite memories to all his friends and family. He never met a stranger. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, collecting various antique items and tinkering in the garage. He also enjoyed time in his recliner with his loyal companion, Rescue, in his lap watching NCIS. He loved his family and would drop everything at a moment's notice to help them out in any way he could.

Orval is survived by one daughter, Patti Springer of Weatherford; two sons, Damon Springer of Piedmont and Billy Springer and wife, Tamara of Amarillo, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Kyle Springer and wife Jenny of Casper, Wyoming, Matthew Springer of Weatherford, Hayden Springer and wife, Brantley of Amarillo, Texas,   Logan, Madison and Landry Springer of Amarillo, Texas, Courtney and Caitlin Springer of Piedmont, Madi Grace Hoyt of Weatherford, Sam and Izzy Kuykendall of Weatherford; five great grandchildren, Parker, Brooks, and Archie Springer of Amarillo, Texas, Delta and Wesson Springer of Casper, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pat; and his sisters, Delores Downey, Deana Pemberton, and Shirley Dixon.
