Graveside services for Ortha Orvil Megli, 79 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Van Dyke Cemetery with Scott Hume officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Orvil was born on March 4, 1934 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Daisy (Snelgrove) Megli. He was raised in the Weatherford area and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1952. He moved to Colorado where he met and married Lucille Christensen on June 15, 1956 in Pueblo, Colorado. He worked in computer operations and later moved to Boulder and worked for IBM and Coors Brewery. In 1980 he returned to Weatherford where he retired from Dresser Atlas and farming. Orvil enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. Memorial may be made to the charity of your choice.

Orvil is survived by one son, Michael and Adele Megli of Dillingham, Alaska; one daughter Cheryl Megli of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one brother, Carl and Jewell Megli of Clinton, Oklahoma; and one grandson, Everet Megli. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
