Buddy and his twin sister were born May 29, 1928, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to John Frank and Veda (Pierson) Harper and passed away Friday, September 8, 2017, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.  Buddy was raised and attended school in the Hobart, Oklahoma area, graduating from Retrop High School in 1946.  He went on to earn his Associate Degree in Education from Kiowa County Jr. College.  Buddy enlisted in the U.S. Army serving his country from 1947-1948.  Upon returning from the service he moved to Weatherford and earned his degree in commercial air conditioning and refrigeration at the Southwestern Institute of Technology.  While in Weatherford he met the love of his life, Margery Ann Goodin, while working on a homecoming float. They married on August 19, 1950, and made their home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was employed with Continental Baking Company for 2 years and worked for Cummins Sales and Service from 1952 through 1961 where he was promoted and transferred to Parts Manager in Tulsa.  In 1961, Buddy went into business for himself starting with a diesel engine parts and service shop; following that, a Diamond Reo truck dealership.  That company was purchased by Kerr Consolidated where he worked for many years and earned the title of Corporate Executive Vice-President. In his spare time, Buddy enjoyed socializing with his family and friends, gardening and watching his daughter play basketball and softball.

Buddy is survived by one daughter, Pamela Harper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Edwin Harper and Dennis Harper both of Texas; three grandsons - Talon of Dodge City, KS; Tevin and Taydon of Mooreland, OK.; many nieces and nephews around the country with one very special relationship with nephew Michael Harper, his wife Adrienne and their family in California.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margery; son, Terry Harper; three brothers, George, Doug and Larry; and five sisters, Mildred, Thelma, Juanita, Inell (his twin) and Eva Mae.  Pam would also like to thank the wonderful and loving extended family of Weatherwood Senior Living Center.  They provided Buddy a comfortable and loving home that he flourished in while giving Margery the confidence of knowing he was well cared for.
