Funeral services for Norma Elizabeth Lanier, 80 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Norma was born March 19, 1932 in Sickles, Oklahoma to Herman and Bertha (Ross) Hawkins and passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Norma was raised north of Sickles where she attended Prairie Dale Rural School and graduated from Sickles High School in 1949. On May 27, 1949, she married Lloyd Hoss Lanier in Tucumcari, New Mexico and made their home in the Sickles area until 1954 when they moved north of Weatherford. In 1971, they started Trojan Livestock Equipment that is still in business today. After the death of Lloyd, she retired in 1985. Norma enjoyed her family, traveling, and trips with the sisters-in-law. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.

Norma is survived by one daughter, Debbie Willis and husband, Tom of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three sons, Max Lanier, Bob Lanier and wife, Patty, and Phil Lanier and wife, Penny all of Weatherford, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother in infancy; one son, Larry Don; one daughter, Cindy Murray; and one grandson, Justin Murray.
