Naida Jean Meyer was born October 22, 1930, to John Barton and Josie Pearl (Krows) Cathey and passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Weatherford, at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 10 days.

Naida was raised in the Vici area where she graduated from Richmond Rural High School in 1948.  On March 28, 1948, she married Maurice Gerold Meyer in Woodward and made their home in the Vici area. In 1968, they settled in Weatherford where she worked at Security State Bank, United Community Bank and BancFirst before retiring in 1994.  While the boys were growing up, she was Cub Scout Den Leader.  Naida enjoyed going to the lake, traveling to south Texas in the winter and Colorado in the summer, and spending time with family and friends.

Naida is survived by her son, Rick Meyer and wife, Sheila of Woodward; daughter-in-law, Robin Meyer of Weatherford; sister, Eula Farmer of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Jan Cathey of White Deer, Texas; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Chuck; and two brothers, Darrell and Duane.
