Funeral services for Myrtle Fae Mauldin, 84 year-old Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church in Hydro with Brandon Blacksten and Rick Dyson officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Myrtle was born July 12, 1929 in Graham, Oklahoma to Harvey and Virginia (Williamson) McGahan and passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Myrtle was raised in the Lone Grove area and attended school at Wheeler Rural School. On October 23, 1944, she married Calvin Franklin Mauldin in Wilson, Oklahoma. They later moved to a farm, south of Hydro. She worked alongside her husband on the family farm. Myrtle enjoyed gardening, crocheting, garage sales, and cooking. Memorials may be made to the Hydro First Responders.

Myrtle is survived by two sons, Jim Mauldin and wife, Dianna of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dale Mauldin and wife, Cheryl of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Freda Mogg and husband, Jimmy of Hydro, Oklahoma; one brother, Hubert McGahan and wife, Linda of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; one sister, Pearline Allen and husband, Arman of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, George and Arthur; and four sisters, Leona, Lola, Levelia and Nettie.
