Lorene Floyd was born March 11, 1931, in Sasakwa, OK, to Conce Barrett and Dora (Doner) Barrett and passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Homestead Assisted Living in Weatherford, at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 27 days.

Lorene was raised in Sasakwa, OK. In 1948, she married James Floyd in Las Vegas, NV and they made their home in Hesperia, CA before moving back to Sasakwa, OK in 1958. In 1968, they moved to Sidney, MT followed by Oklahoma City in 1977, before then settling in Thomas in 1993. Lorene enjoyed her family, quilting, ceramics, and family game time.

Lorene is survived by her sons, Perry and wife, Norma, of Shawnee, Danny and wife, Linda of Thomas, Roger and wife, Therese of Thomas; daughter, Jan Floyd of Thomas; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jim Barrett; three brothers, Arthur, Otha and Louis; six sisters, Edith, Ethyl, Vera, Wilma, Leona, and Dessie; and grandsons, Chad Floyd and Corey Barrett.

Memorials may be made to the Weatherford Church of Christ, Homestead Assisted Living, or the Western Oklahoma Christian School.
